Job Summary:
The Receiving and Dispatching Unit Head is responsible for managing all aspects of receiving and dispatching merchandise stocks across all store RDUs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors all work functions and activities of the Receiving & Dispatching Unit (RDU) in all stores (branches).
- Oversees all RDU OICs and RDU staff in all stores (branches); evaluates the performance of personnel and gives recommendations / areas for improvement.
- Ensures that receiving and dispatching processes and procedures are aligned with the Distribution Center.
- Ensures that proper merchandise handling & storage procedures, good warehousing practices, prescribed inventory & security control measures, company standards are observed in the RDU of all stores.
- Ensures that all RDU policies are aligned across all stores.
- Ensures safety of store personnel, merchandise and company properties in all RDU activities.
- Ensures that the cleanliness and organization of all RDUs are maintained consistently.
- Recommends and implements improvements in RDU processes and policies in coordination with the concerned departments.
- Manages the training of RDU personnel for upcoming new stores.
- Coordinates with the Store Operations Supervisors, Inventory Management Section Head, and Merchandising Heads on important concerns regarding the flow of inventory within the stores.
- Coordinates with the Warehouse & Logistics (Distribution Center) Supervisor on important concerns regarding deliveries and stock transfers from and to the central warehouse.
- Coordinates with supplier delivery personnel and cargo forwarder personnel as needed.
- Coordinates with the Inventory Control Unit (Store) and Inventory Management Section (Head Office) on important inventory matters.
- Ensures timely and accurate preparation of RDU dashboard and other reports as needed.
- Reports important RDU operations matters to the Operations Manager.
